Our bus trip on Wednesday took about about 15 hours - a long day but OK. Because we are under budget the group decided to book a better Hotel than usual for our last 5 nights. We settled into the Mhotel which is luxurious. Everyone has double or single rooms with views, breakfast is a big buffet and there's a pool too. Yesterday it rained all day and most people went shopping. The wildlife place we were planning to go to told us they haven't seen their orangutangs for 2 weeks - at this time of year there is plenty of fruit in the forest so they don't need to come out of the jungle to the feeding sessions. So today we went to a wildlife rehabilitation centre to see their Orangutangs which they are rehabilitating to return to their natural environment. Then we went to the waterfront area. It's a relaxing finish to our trip.

We had an admin day in Miri today. The big decision made after talking to the World Challenge In Country Rep, Sampson, was to have a big day tomorrow and go all the way to Kuching in one hit, rather than break the journey by staying somewhere on route tomorrow night. So we are being picked up by taxis at 6.30am to go to the bus station ready for a 16 hour day of travel - all in one bus
. The pay off is we have 4 days/5 nights in Kuching and are staying a good hotel with a pool.

We are in the oil town of Miri, The Lonely Planet says it's not typical Malaysia - and it certainly looks pretty wealthy. We are at the Dillenia Guest House which is pretty good - google it or look it up on facebook. We had a 30 minute flight in a 72 seater plane from Gunung Mulu this morning. Here are some photos of recent days.
